Salt Spring Island,British Columbia,Canada - Who says recycling can’t be sexy? Thai designer and president of Stripnotize Shoes, Christa Gruenwald has turned reuse and recycle into a sexy shoe empire. Although not originally intended as a green project, Gruenwald created her customized platform shoe line because it simply made sense to reuse existing material.

We caught up with Christa to ask her a few questions about her customized shoes. Such as, are they difficult to walk in?
