SCRAPBOOKING is not only an avenue to exercise one’s creativity but also a therapeutic hobby that allows one to capture the ups-and-downs of life with photos and colourful embellishments.

Scrap-n-Crop Sdn Bhd co-founder Penelope Gan and her family started scrapbooking six years ago as they sought solace when her nephew Bryant was born with cerebral palsy.

“It all began on May 12, 2003 when Bryant was born with severe brain injury. Doctors told us that Bryant would not live long, that a baby with such severe injuries hardly makes it through childhood. We spent time going in and out of hospitals.

“We then started making a scrapbook on everything about Bryant, his days spent in the hospitals and his journey in the world,” she said.

However, they found that scrapbook materials were not easily available in Malaysia and the choices were limited.......
