Planning after-school activities for kids can be a problem, especially if you want them to learn something at the same time. But one solution could be the Revamp and Recycle classes held at Chameleon Workshop in Queen's Road East (Tel: 2527-2251).

The art studio is offering new eco- courses on how to brighten up your home without spending a dime on new furniture. There is a class for parents and kids to learn how to give their home furniture or fittings new life.

"It'd be exciting to spend some quality time with your kid to do something new," said studio director Eleanor McColl, who has a newborn baby.

"Parents can revamp their child's bedroom together. As the kids grow older, they might want to get rid of the Teletubbies or fairies in their room. So instead of buying a new lamp or new curtain, the parents and kids can come here, learn the skills, and slowly create a new look at home.".....
