Recycling is, as ever, present on the internet in a big way. One of the best places to see it in action is in the do-it-yourself communities, so I wasn't surprised to find that people are dusting off old ric rac (also known as rick rack) from the 70's and coming at it from a new angle.
Ric rac flowers aren't new, but they're not well-known. Thanks to the online craft communities, though, they're enjoying a comeback with new styles and ideas.
I decided to try my hand at making some of these flowers, and now I wish I had more time. Because I don't, I'm sharing links to some of the best tutorials I've found on the internet with you. Use them to make pins, hair clips, and necklaces. Add them to gift bags, tags, and bows. Really, with a cute little accessory like these, there's almost no way to go wrong.
