Craft flair on offer at fair

BARDON State School’s Mayfair organisers are getting excited about some of the recycled and “up-cycled” wares being made for the fair’s craft stall.
Craft stall convener Christine Simpson said recycling and new ideas were making craft cool again. “Craft has moved a long way from Kewpie dolls and crochet toilet roll holders and people are now using crafting to de-stress and express their creative side,” she said.
The fair also offers food, rides and entertainment and a new special activities area for young crafters.
* Visit the Mayfair on the Bardon State School oval from 10am to 3pm on Sunday, May 31 on Simpsons Rd.
