Quilt exhibit shares stories behind the work on display

When members of the Sacred Threads quilting group first thought of hosting an exhibit in Reynoldsburg, they focused on something that was missing from other quilting shows.

"When we started the exhibition in 1999, other, normal quilting shows displayed quilts based on size and gave the artist's name and where they're from," said Wendy Bynner, chairwoman of the Sacred Threads planning committee.

"If you made a quilt for a particular reason -- if you were going through the grief of a divorce, or cancer or a death -- there was no way to communicate that feeling," she said......
