I got this book because making quick knitted gifts sounds like a great idea. It retails for about $20 and was published by Stewart, Tabori & Chang in 2004. The book, by Joelle Hoverson, covers a variety of scarves, hats, toys and more. The rich textures and vibrant colors are captured by photographer Anna Williams.

The project that caught my eye was the soft drawstring pouch. It is shown on the cover of the book. It is listed in the section of patterns that take between 4-6 hours to complete......
