WOOSTER -- Few gatherings inspire the particular type of community found in a knitting circle.

On a recent Friday, Calla Lily owner Donna Ning was busy going over samples with supplier Lisa Sexton, while visitors Barb Westfall and Becky Thorne knitted, laughed and occasionally paused to inspect a product sample.

The atmosphere was jovial as conversation bounced around from childhood stories to possible health benefits from knitting.....
