Taipei -- The Taipei Artist Village (TAV) , a non-governmental artist community run by the Taipei Culture Foundation, on Saturday launched its first "FunArts" Artist Workshop in Grass Mountain Arts Village in suburban Taipei.

The "Silk Road, Thought Road: Embroidering Workshop by Lily Huang, " which kicked off the same day, is one good reason for people to get away from the bustle of the city and visit the arts village in Yangmingshan National Park, the TAV said in a press statement. It described the art of embroidery as detailed, refined and three dimensional.

"Using needle and braid knit skills, artist Lily Huang is drawing her inspiration from the natural scenery of Grass Mountain in her new art form 'Stainless Steel Embroidery,'" said the press release......
