Thousands attend festival of wool at Cockermouth

More than 3,000 crammed into the fifth Woolfest at Mitchell’s Lakeland Livestock Centre in Cockermouth. Stalls, demonstrations and exhibitions helped celebrate natural fibres from local and worldwide sources.
Woolfest is a self-supported event organised by the Woolclip co-operative, of Calbeck.
Woolclip, established in 2001, is a group of 15 women with a diverse range of skills, these include farmers, textile and fibre artists and spinners, weavers, knitters and dyers.....
