With the bad economy, money is tighter than usual at the museum this year – thus the craft fair.

MOREHEAD CITY -- People from across the state were gathered at Morehead City’s History Place on Saturday for a much-needed craft fair fundraiser.

“This has been a very trying year,” said Cindi Hamilton, executive director of the History Place, which gets money through grants, donations and memberships.

“It’s very important to us just to maintain what we do.”

With the bad economy, money is tighter than usual at the museum this year – thus the craft fair.

Hamilton says the fundraiser will help in other ways, too......
