Mullion WI craft group showcase skills
The craft group hard at work in the WI hall
The art and handicraft group from the Mullion women’s institute got the chance to showcase their skills in their open day.
Paintings, drawing and calligraphy, cross stitch, beadwork, quilting, knitting, cardmaking and rug work were just some items visitors were able to see.
Another highlight was a display of Christmas tree decorations that had been made in the spring show earlier this year.
Members were also making crafts there and then for visitors to pick up some tips on their technique and maybe even hand out a few of their own.
The handicraft group meets on Wednesday morning and the art group on Wednesday afternoons in the Mullion WI hall.
