‘My sanity stitches’:a way to escape the stressors of everyday life.

What started as a hobby for one Casper woman has become not only a creative outlet, but a way to escape the stressors of everyday life.
Diana Roby has five grown children and works as a full-time teacher’s assistant at The Child Development Center in Casper.
While often overwhelmed with her daily routine, she restores her emotional equilibrium with her needlework in her hands.
“My sanity stitches help me during difficult times. Certainly, the stitches are very helpful for my fidgety hands during meetings. Without my needlework I can become easily restless,” she said.
Brazilian embroidery is made with rayon thread, spun in the opposite direction of most thread.....
