A special embroidery exhibition has been taking place at the Portsmouth City Museum.

The Practical Study Group is a show which features a large selection of recent works by a diverse group of nationally and internationally-renowned artists and tutors.

The exhibition demonstrates how embroidery and stitched textiles offer a new language for the expressive arts today.

Each piece in the exhibition has been made in collaboration with an artist of a different medium, demonstrating visually the real value of creative dialogue.

The exhibition opened in June and will run until November 1.
