Those interested in knitting for comfort, and making something beautiful in the process, are invited to partake in Purl II, Purls of Wisdom – Knitting for Peace and Comfort, a friendly and informative knitting class with local fibre artist and passionate knitter Janet Armstrong.

The class takes place Saturday, Sept. 19 at Vernon’s Gallery Vertigo.

Participants will feed their souls by knitting a shawl that will give comfort and pleasure, said Armstrong.

“One of the ideal projects is a prayer shawl and then you literally wrap that person with your warmth and good wishes,” she said.....
