Rowan Yarns has created a winter collection of knitting patterns with textile towns in mind.

The Rochdale Cardigan pattern is part of Rowan's Shadowland collection, inspired by the industrial revolution 'when garments were practical and colours subdued.'
The Holmfirth-based firm says the collection has an 'underlying sense of warmth and comfort' which surfaces in the 'oversized, chunky textures' in purple and deep red.
The cardigan, created by designer Marie Wallin, features in the Rowan Knitting and Crochet Magazine issue 46......
