“Celebrate Fiber,” an event dedicated to fiber and fiber creations.
Artisans and craft vendors set up in the Sycamore Farm Red Barn Saturday at "Celebrate Fiber," an event dedicated to fiber and fiber creations.
Crafts, clothing and many other things could be viewed and purchased at the event.
Fiber, wool that comes from animals such as sheep or llamas, can be used to make all sorts of things.
The event stocked everything from shirts to hats, as well as bundles of roving fiber for visitors to make their own projects.
"I've been doing this for eight years," said Nan Talley, a crafter from FiberAntics in Whiteland, Ind. "I first got into this craft from shearing my llamas, and I didn't know what to do with the fibers.".Many fiber artisans will be at a different show every weekend from August until mid-November. Depending on deadlines, crafting with fiber can be relaxing.....
