Hand-Woven Zoo Animals Donated

by Justine Judge

Massachussets -  Some weavers put their skills to work to raise money for a local animal shelter.

For two years, members of The Pioneer Valley Weavers have been working on hand-woven zoo creatures. This year, they thought the hand-made animals would be best used to help raise money for The Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society, so they donated their creations to the society to be auctioned off this spring.

"They are so gorgeous, and each one of them is unique and shows an awful lot of creativity and love that has gone into the creation of them over a very long period of time. We appreciate the fact that Pioneer Valley Weavers selected us," Candy Lash of the Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society.

They weavers donated 15 hand-woven animals in all.
