The ga-ga gorgeous Tammy Cunningham, wife of Strings owner Noel Cunningham, has come up with a way to make knitting sexy with a 2010 calendar of local lovelies posing in barely there hand- knit items to raise money for the Cunningham Foundation. The money will be used to teach women and children in Ethiopia how to knit so they can support themselves by making pieces to sell.

Knitting is Sexy 2010 features Posh salon owner Lisa Holste and other hot-chic entrepreneurs Brittany Phelps, Laurie Maves, Nancy Johnson, Kim Lake, Tiffany McCray, Meron Abebe and Katie Fosselius posing nude-ish in a beautifully photographed calendar.

"I learned to knit in Ethiopia (last) November," Tammy Cunningham said. "I was inspired by the calendar girls 10 years ago who were ladies from London that raised money for a friend of theirs who had leukemia. These women got to pose and got their makeup and hair done with just their knitting. It's beautiful to see these women empowered by being sexy."......
