It glitters, it makes us feel good. Now jewelry can be eco-friendly, too.
I came across beautiful, handcrafted jewelry from Ann-Made Art made from recycled soda can tabs. It's artistic-looking, classy, fun.
Designer Ann Skydell Harmon was a special education / art teacher working with New Jersey inner-city kids. Wanting to make something valuable from something ordinary, in 2007 she handcrafted Christmas bracelets from recycled pop tops for her colleagues. They went wild over them! A subsequent gallery show sold 300 bracelets and a cottage industry was born......
