Arts and crafts:Variety of works enticing

Winterfair, a cornucopia of arts and crafts, has been pleasing folks for decades.
The 33rd annual juried event -- presenting ceramics, glass, jewelry, painting, photography, sculpture and wearable art by more than 400 artists from 34 states -- will settle in Friday through next Sunday in the Bricker Multi-Purpose Building at the Ohio Expo Center.
The first Winterfair, conducted in 1977 at the Lausche Building on the fairgrounds, featured works by about 200 artists, with about 5,000 people attending. The event, produced by the nonprofit Ohio Designer Craftsmen, was successful enough to launch a holiday habit for many central Ohioans.
One person at every Winterfair is Betty Talbott, artistic director of the Ohio Craft Museum -- owned and operated by Ohio Designer Craftsmen.....
