Remember the crocheted potholder and glitter stars made by little hands in elementary art class?Some crafters think it's time to bring back those homespun holiday gifts.

"In today's environment, there are two things people are short on -- time and money," said Sandy Sandler, founder of the nonprofit Crafters 4 Kids, an organization that started as a way to provide art supplies to at-risk youths.
