Some people paint with watercolor pigments, and others smear it around with their chubby little hands.

Julie Perkins paints with beads. Will Rogers and a camouflage soldier are among her hand-crafted creations.

“Do You Know the Code?” was copied from a photo in a magazine with amazing likeness. It took 300 hours to complete.

Perkins first picked up beads as a child and continues to explore their possibilities. All she needs is her nimble fingers and her imagination.

“Some women shop for clothes; I shop for beads,” she said with a smile......
