Alison Rose shows off some of her creations

A GOOSTREY woman who has a passion for crafts is passing on her knowledge and skills to others.

Alison Rose has set up a studio at her home in Main Road in the village, where she runs specially-designed workshops in felt-making, rag-rugging and jewellery.

The one-day courses allow people to learn how to make their own jewellery, produce rugs by using strips of fabric or study different felting techniques before making their own creations.

Alison, a qualified teacher, who studied felt-making at South Trafford College, said: “These workshops, which some people have used as an alternative hen party or birthday celebration, are proving very popular.
