Rome,Georgia quilters display work at FMC

Several pieces by the Lavender Mountain Quilt Guild are currently on display in the Wright Art Gallery at Floyd Medical Center.
The guild supports and contributes to the hospital’s Blanks of Love program, which provides blankets, quilts, afghans and other needlework covers to patients who may not have many visitors, who may be in the hospital for an extended time or who may simply need an extra measure of encouragement.
Quilts on display through Feb. 1 are “Autumn Splendor” by Cindy Loveless; “All My Children are Different” by Jean Bray; “Optical Illusion” by Caroline Wacker; “Therapy in Session” Mardi Hamilton; “Sewing Circles” and “Amish Style Nine Patch” by Clare Gilliland; “Licorice Diamonds” by Jane Barwick; “Calla Lilies” by Mary Sumner; “Tulip Garden” by Jacqueline Storey; and “Halloween Festival” by Nancy Murphy.....
