There's just something about getting a delivery from the florist on Valentine's Day. But a dozen red roses again?

A pair of Arlington women can help provide your sweetheart the thrill of delivery but a break from tradition with their Jane Joss fabric plants and stems.

Alyssa Krismer and Joslyn Krismer, who started out as college roommates and became family when they married twin brothers, craft fun floral designs using handmade fabric leaves. Their designs come in everything from floral and graphic cotton prints to tattered quilt remnants.

A little more than a year ago, the fabric florists didn't even know how to use a sewing machine. They got inspired when a friend gave away her machine. "We knew nothing about fabric, but just fell in love with it," Alyssa says......
