Lovebirds might be getting more creative and crafty this Valentine’s Day.

According to the latest survey from the National Retail Federation, shoppers will be spending less this year. The NRF's survey found that people will spend an average of $63.34 on gifts for spouses or significant others, compared to $67.22 last year. But that still leaves a pretty wide margin for flowers and chocolates. Still, if you want to add a personal touch to your Valentine gift, try creating your own cards this year. Your creation could be as simple as buying some blank card stock and stickers from the craft store. Or you could create a custom Valentine by recycling old ones you have saved — cut out the Valentine message or pattern and glue to a blank card......
