From women artists to the feminine muse, women have created or inspired all forms of creative expression. Thousands of venues across Virginia will be celebrating the contributions of women to the arts from March to June with the Minds Wide Open: Virginia Celebrates Women in the Arts.

The Jacksonville Center will be joining this celebration, and Southwest Virginia's Rising Stars: A New Constellation of Arts & Culture as Southwest Virginia Celebrates Women in the Arts, with a juried exhibition entitled All This I Am.

.....The deadline for completed entry materials is April 2. Notifications will be mailed April 12. The show will be held from Friday, May 7 to Sunday, July 11, with a reception on Saturday, May 15. Prospectuses can be download on the website at www.jacksonvillecenter.org. Those with limited computer access may request an application by calling (540) 745-2784.
