Crocheting Tale Wins Oddest Book Title
CANVAS STAFF REPORTS - It is possible to judge a book by its cover.
A tale of crocheting and math won the oddest book title of the year . "Crocheting Adventures with Hyperbolic Planes" received the 2009 Diagram Prize last week, said representatives of The Bookseller.com .
Daina Taimina 's tome beat out "Collectible Spoons of the Third Reich" and "What Kind of Bean is this Chihuahua?"
Horace Bent of The Bookseller said Taimina's book defended its poll-topping position despite strong support for the spoon-carrying Third Reich, once again attempting to muscle in on someone else's territory.
