ArtWalk (Canada) – needs artists and artisans
CANADA - The Whistler Arts Council (WAC)’s seventh annual ArtWalk event has a call out for local artists and artisans.
The event features artists’ work highlighted in unconventional “galleries” throughout the Village, including cafés, retail stores, hotels and restaurants from June 15 to Aug. 31.
Artists who want their work displayed must live between Lions Bay and Lillooet, and work in visual art, photography, fibre arts, pottery, multi-media, jewellery, leather or sculpture.
When applying, artists must provide three to six images of their work, and all images should be of work the artist intends to display at ArtWalk. Artists must also include a photo of one new piece of artwork not previously displayed.
But you’d better hurry. The deadline for application is April 19.
Applications and complete guidelines can be found at whistlerartscouncil.com.
ArtWalk features two opening receptions, with the first on June 25 and the second on Aug. 6.
