Spiral Ring Moon - Bicolor - Pink gold and silver with CZ
1. What do you (or your company) specialize in?
I specialize in manufacturing 925 silver and bronze jewelry.
2. What inspires you as an artist?
My creations are the results of whatever comes to my mind, even if I try to follow some of the most successful tendencies. I just hope you like them.
3. What impact do you believe your art can have on our culture?
The first collection was created in 1970 by my father but never marketed as being too advanced for the period. I relaunched the collection in 1998. The jewelry photo with the cross is part of that collection. Jewelry has become a family tradition.
Based on that first collection I create a new one everyday. Some are more sober and some are flanked by semi-precious stones.
Finally in 2009 came the Celebrity Collection totally inspired by the jewelry trade and by the taste of the rising stars of the moment.
4. What different materials do you use?
I use mainly silver and bronze material as my first artistic choices.
5. Where are you located?
My lab is located in Milan, Italy.
6. What made you want to start doing this?
I started this job in 1994 following the footsteps of my father which has done it for 50 years. After attending fashion school my father taught me how to use the files and how to solder the pieces to get a great finished result and I have created several lines since then.
7. How does the response you get from a consumer affect the way you work?
I want my jewelry line to be known and appreciated. The type of response I get can influence new creations that I’ll eventually sell, but I can always modify a request according to my own taste.
8. What is the most enjoyable part about your work?
My work is a lot of fun because I bring to life a jewelry template that was just a drawing on a paper a few moments ago. It’s wonderful!
9. How many people do you work with?
I work with my father who has a lot of experience and shares it with me. He is my teacher.
10. What message are you trying to reach with your work?
No message whatsoever, I just love what I do!
