Mother’s Day is the perfect time to honor the special moms in your life with gifts that encourage relaxing with a favorite craft.
Whether she’s a quilter, sewing enthusiast, jewelry maker, knitting maven or avid scrapbooker, celebrate her unique creativity with these fun and crafty Mother’s Day gift ideas.
The quilter: Present a stash-building fabric assortment in her favorite color scheme. Never heard of a “fat quarter” or a “jelly roll”? Your local quilt shop or fabric store will be happy to help you make a great choice. But just so you know, a fat quarter is one quarter of a square yard of fabric cut to 18-by-22 inches, and a jelly roll is a collection of fabric cut to uniform quilting size, rolled up and tied with a bow, which makes it a perfect quilters’ gift.
