How to:Easy Earrings for June

A special treat for June -- this project is from our out-of-print 365 Earringsissue. Making your own findings is easy and economical - start with Associate editor Jane Konkel's design and then experiment with your own shapes. If you know anyone who would enjoy a free earring project every month, tell him/her to sign up for the newsletter at BeadStyleMag.com.
Step 1:On a decorative head pin, string a bead. Make the first half of a wrapped loop (Basics). Make three bead units.

Step 2:Cut a 3-in. (7.6 cm) piece of wire. Make a plain loop on one end (Basics). Place your roundnose pliers 1 in. (2.5 cm) from the loop, and pull the wire around the jaw to make a loop.

Step 3:Make another loop Ÿ in. (1.9 cm) from the previous loop. At the end of the wire, make a loop. Bend the wire into the desired shape.

Step 4:Attach a bead unit to each loop, completing the wraps as you go.

Step 5:Open the loop of an earring wire . Attach the dangle and close the loop. Make a second earring in the mirror image of the first.
