SATURDAY, JULY 10, 3 - 7 P.M.
(rain date Sunday, July 11)

ArtsUnion continues the 2010 series with the Boston Handmade Marketplace in Union Square, Somerville.
Also on tap will be live music by The Grown Up Noise, One Happy Island, and acraft demonstrations by The Common Cod Fiber Guild. Boston Handmade and Etsy.com help people make a living by making things. From the creative to the curious, items at the Boston Handmade Marketplace will be one-of-kind, limited edition, and produced by local artisans.

Thanks in part to The Somerville Arts Council and Etsy.com, local artists, artisans, and craftspeople associated with Boston Handmade will be in Union Square Somerville for our 3rd year showing and selling handmade jewelry, clothing, accessories, housewares, art, photography, ceramics, glass, soaps, and more!

All in all, there’s something for everyone in the nearly 200 classes and workshops brought to life by more than 35 of the nation’s best instructors, whether one is a rookie, dabbler or highly experienced artisan looking for a new challenge.

The Exhibit Hall is open for three full days, allowing ample time to meet expert suppliers, designers and retailers from across the country while shopping for the latest tools, supplies, equipment, techniques and ideas at more than 150 retail booths. Attendees can take in runway fashion shows, quilt and home décor trunk shows and new-product demos on two stages, and try one’s hand at the many Make-it Take-It projects throughout the Hall.

Original Sewing & Quilt Expo brings inspiration, motivation, education, shopping and personal satisfaction to everyone who enjoys sewing, quiltmaking, embroidery, embellishment and related needle arts. For three days once each year it offers thousands of enthusiasts the opportunity to spend time with others with shared interests, learn from experts in the field, find new products, project ideas and techniques.

The 2010 Buckhead Spring Arts and Crafts Festival will be held May 22 & 23 (confirmed) in Atlanta, GA.

Please join us for the inaugural Buckhead Spring Arts and Crafts Festival, as more than 100 artists and artisans will exhibit their work during this two day event, transforming the park into an outdoor gallery of spectacular arts and crafts.

Admission is free - we look forward to seeing you at the festival!

The Buckhead Spring Arts and Crafts Festival is a two-day outdoor event located in the largest public park in Fulton County. We set out with many different goals in mind: 1) Give back to the community through art; 2) Create a venue that emphasizes local and Georgian artists so they have a show they can depend on in their own back yard; 3) Bring a Spring festival to the folks in the northern part of Fulton county; 4) Create a show unlike any other in the City of Atlanta, bringing together outstanding local and regional artists.

The Buckhead area is among the largest and most enthusiastic art buying communities in the Atlanta area. This inaugural event will feature approximately 150 painters, photographers, sculptors, leather and metal craftpersons, glass blowers, jewelers and more! The Festival will also offer visitors the opportunity to view artist demonstrations, enjoy live entertainment, participate in hands-on arts activities, and enjoy festival foods and beverages.
